Custom Designed Mosaic Tables (Commission only)

  After a long career as an educator and psychotherapist, and a lifetime of dabbling in various art mediums, I now have the time and freedom to be a full-time artist and spend my days creating.

Inspired by the quilts of the Gee's Bend women, I design and create my own improv quilted wall hangings. My love of color is liberally displayed throughout the themes of my quilts. I welcome inquiries about designing a quilt on commission.

My appreciation of pottery and fascination with pattern design is particularly evident in my  mosaic work. If my children broke a piece of pottery it was added to my basement collection box because I knew someday I would create a mosaic with those shards... and, indeed I did! Those childhood accidents live on happily as part of a bathroom countertop and a decorative backyard post.

I create mosaic dining tables on commission. The design of each table is individualized by identifying the customer's sense of style and favorite colors, ensuring that the design is in keeping with their taste. 

In addition to my own art expression, I work with customers to help them enjoy their homes more by rearranging their furniture and redesigning their space... creating a fresh look without buying anything new.  

I'm most content when I'm tapping into my creativity, no matter the medium. When I'm not working on a quilt or mosaic table top, I might spend time running a workshop to share the joy of Shibori fabric dyeing, pouring over inspirational art books, creating the graphic design for an organizational newsletter,  or simply doing a "Fresh Twist" to my own home.
